Rob Hall Yarra Valley Cabernets 2016
Cabernet the way it should be.
Cabernet the way it should be.
Harriet’s Vineyard gives you green and yellow fruits on a balanced, lean and ultimately delicious palate. Drink from now but no great rush.
Young, fresh and in need of 6-12 month at least.
Another lovely, if a bit tightly wound release of this Pinot Noir. I’m going to hide some for next year.
Quintessential and charming Pinot.
What a wonderful expression of the 5th wheel of Bordeaux. From a great site and crafted by a great winemaker.
A light, fresh Cabernet sans preservative for lovers of Beaujolais or Anjou style reds.
Tightly wound on release by March in 2015 this will be a charming glass of wine.
2015 is looking a tight and focused release, glorious Chard fruit for those who can wait.
An on the ground insight into the current reality of Champagne. Reminds me of ‘Adventures On The Wine Route’ with an Australian accent.
The first release of the Rob Dolan Signature Series – the very best that he can make. And it is brilliant. The range of Pinot, Chard and Cabernet are all a credit to the many years he has spent honing his craft. Sourced from the Willowlake and Mandala Vineyards. The 2017 vintage was more traditional … Read more
I love Jeaunaux-Robin Brut Rosé. Red berry fruits, spice, floral. Lean and clean on the palate. I could drink a lot of this wine.
Jeaunaux-Robin Eclats is light, dry, aperitif style. Very subtle, elegant, mineral, long finishing and refreshing. Perfect with oysters.
Gliding into the NGV in my freshly dry cleaned Pin Stripe suit, I could not help but feel apprehensive. My mission was to pour the awarding wining wines from James Halliday’s 2017 Wine Companion. 97, 98, 99 point wines will be on display. Really, how hard is it to pour 9 glasses of wine? I’ve probably had … Read more
On Thursday 30th May, I invite you to drink Chardonnay & Pinot Noir from Burgundy & Yarra Valley. Hotel Gitan will put together a 3-course sharing meal.
Miss Feelove is a lovely, elegant Chardonnay that offers great value. And also, the proceeds go to support to cancer charities.
Taste some of the best wines in Victoria from producers that haven’t hit the big time… yet.
Anyone with a passing interest in will have heard (or read) about Pinot Noir. And mostly it will be how great the wines are, and maybe what a pain in the a$$ the grape is to grow. A lovely floral and limey Riesling with hints of toast and savoury characters.
Have you ever seen a winery in full swing? Smelt the aroma of fermenting grapes and tasted the half wine from the vats? Join me for a fun time of tasting, eating and learning about the dark arts of wine making.
Over the years I have hosted numerous private tastings and dinners. When I got the call that the team at Telstra wanted to do a second one I knew I was in for a rowdy night. So I roped in some help in the form of Rob Hall from Kellybrook to entertain them. We decided to … Read more
There is a nothing like a Perry on a hot day and this is the one you want in your hand.
Refreshing and satisfying Cider.
This is easily the best cider I have ever tasted.
