Description
A special part of the Willamette Valley in Eola Hills. Founded by Brian and Ann Croser who now must be considered the most gifted at discovery and exploitation of distinguished vineyards.
2008 Tunkalilla Vineyard Riesling is the first crop from this special Riesling terroir. From a much cooler than average vintage, the aroma is fresh and delicately floral with a hint of citrus. The natural acid is high and the residual sugar relatively low so the taste is flinty and dry but with significant fruit sweetness to balance.
Riesling – One of the world’s most noble varieties and known transmitter of terroir. Riesling is an important variety for quality wine production although only makes up approximately 4% of the planted area. Wonderful wines are found in Germany, Austria, Alsace and Australia.
