Over the past three years I have hosted dinners and tastings solely looking at the wines of Greece. The only people who aren’t surprised by the supreme quality of the wines are those who already knew how great the top level of Greece wines are. The best producers tend to stick with native varieties that are largely unknown outside the country but provide a wine lover a whole new palate of flavours to work with and enjoy. So to answer the first question, “What are Greek wines similar too?” Nothing really. You’ll just have to come along and experience them for yourself.
