It is important to note that this Champagne Stopper will work with any sparkling wine. Or table wine for that matter. Not many of us will have “left-over Champagne” but on the rare occasion you don’t drink it all in one go, what you don’t want is for the wine to oxidise. In fact, I tend to use a stopper the minute I open the bottle to preserve it. And if you do want to leave it overnight, it’ll be fine.
These are good quality, durable and effective. I’ve stocked up because they are handy when I take open bottles away from events. Nothing worse than trying to close a Sparkling wine with a cork and end up wearing it.
How does it work?
- Open a bottle of fizz.
- Pour a little bit of wine into a glass to make room for the chilling stick.
- Insert the white part into the neck of the bottle.
- Push down and clip the legs under the lip on the neck.
