A special part of the Willamette Valley in Eola Hills. Founded by Brian and Ann Croser who now must be considered the most gifted at discovery and exploitation of distinguished vineyards.
The 2010 Tunkalilla Vineyard Riesling is the product of one of the coolest and latest vintages in Oregon. The higher natural acid and refined aromatics of this cool vintage wine demanded to be balanced by slightly more retained sugar than the previous vintages. Despite the higher residual sugar the wine still retains the dry wine profile, which is the natural balance of Rieslings from the special Tunkalilla Vineyard terroir. The fruit aromatics are perfumed and limey and intensely fresh.
The most famous of the Oregon wine country and for good reason: This is possibly the best place in the USA for Pinot Noir. The wines retain an elegance and class due to the cool climate and moist conditions.
One of the world’s most noble varieties and known transmitter of terroir. Riesling is an important variety for quality wine production although only makes up approximately 4% of the planted area. Wonderful wines are found in Germany, Austria, Alsace and Australia. They can be as dry as any wine you’ll taste or super sweet and luscious. It is a wonderful grape. See more about Riesling here.
