Description

It is Australian Wine Month again and we want to celebrate by throwing a State of Origin style tasting. You will be tasting 7 producers covering Vic, Tas, WA, SA, QLD, NSW and ACT (sorry NT, I’ll happily stand corrected if someone provides a decent wine from there).

The brief
Each producer has to represent great quality and have been doing so for a long time. Despite this, most of them will be completely unknown to you. The producers will show you two wines each that highlight the quality of the region and varieties with which they work.

Your Job
Taste all of the wines WITH AN OPEN MIND. Then you have the tough task of deciding which producer is doing the best job. All orders handed in on the day are given a chance to vote for the best and will be in the running to win a special prize.

Who Is Coming?
You, me and seven producers (or their nominated representatives on the day). Beyond that I will be keeping the producers under wraps so as not to prejudice your opinions.

The Important Details
30th May @ Mezzo. 2-4pm. Cost $10 per head (refunded with an order). The price includes notes, tastings and food.
