Description
Ramos Pinto Lagrima is a lovely example of a White Port. Showing Figs, hazelnuts, grapes, brandy and green apple. Its palate is thick but soft with high-intensity flavours and a touch of juniper and amaro on the finish.
You could serve Lagrima at the start of a meal with canapes, or enjoy with was some soft cheese at the end of the meal or anytime you have soft cheese.
Brothers Adriano and Antonio founded this house in 1880. Since 1990 it has been part of Champagne Louis Roederer group. Since their inception, they have been innovative. Both with wine production and marketing. But ultimately the wines are fantastic. Part of this is because the house owns 187 hectares of prime vineyards. The holdings consist of 4 Quintas (Estates).
