Description
Modus Operandi Silent Knight Porter is dark, roasted, sarsparilla, chocolate mousse, coffee. The palate is surprisingly soft and mild. The intensity on the nose gives way to a silky, creamy, light-weight palate. There is some bitterness on the finish but it is understated. Modus Operandi Silent Knight Porter is a sensible and enjoyable 5.6% abv.

Modus Operandi started in 2012 after our husband and wife team spent 6 months of touring the USA to delve into the craft beer revolution. The MO is great beer with no shortcuts. That means flying yeast in from the USA, scouring the globe for the best ingredients, and especially, keeping the beer cold from the moment it is packaged. The beers are great. The Sonic Prayer was a real find, the Former Tenant is in my top handful of beers ever. Therefore, you need to buy some cans and find out what the fuss is all about.
Porter
Before malty was fully understood, there were no pale malts. Therefore, all malt was brown or black. This is quite possibly what all beer looked like at one point in time. The modern style is dark, but soft beers, generally not as alcoholic as stout, and not nearly as bitter or roasted. They can often be quite creamy, and easy-going. The sweeter styles are a great way to introduce people to beer.
