Description
The wines made at Merricks Estate are a treat. The Estate range, in particular, is undervalued, bottled-aged gems that I love drinking. The weird thing is, Merricks Estate wines are a ‘best-kept secret” with wine lovers.
But now, I am going to share that love with you and your friends. Merricks Estate owner George Kefford is going to join us. Gus and the team at Tippler & Co are going to host us. Gus’ stunning venue is an East Melbourne institution, and their food is perfect for pairing with wine.
The wines of Merricks are a treat in their own right. But…
…to further illustrate my point, we are going to pair them with some benchmark French wines. After selecting the wines, Gus and the team made a menu to pair happily with the wines. I’m pretty happy with what we’ll enjoy on the night.

Merricks Estate
Merricks Estates original vineyard, established in 1982, allows for the production of beautiful wines made from Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Bottle ageing before release is the cornerstone of Merricks Estate. Because of this, you get to drink them at their peak. Not only are the wines stunning, but they are a fantastic price for the quality you get.
