The story of Mt Pleasant is one of the greatest in Australian wine history. Maurice O’Shea left a legacy with the Australian wine making world that shall never be forgotten. Luckily the wines today still live up to the hype. Elizabeth is a humbly great example of Hunter Semillon at its lime/lemon, toasty, buttery, honeysuckle best.
At 10 years old this wine is still relatively young but really starting to show some of the wonderful toasty, spicy and buttery notes that make Hunter Sem so special. Drink now or drink in another 5-10 years time.
