Description
At the start of spring we sat down to match oysters with wine. We stuck to some classic matches from France. And it was awesome.
So awesome we’re going to do it again. On the day you will taste six alcoholic beverages and you will get 12 natural oysters to eat. Closer to the date Silvio and I will explore which part of Australia will give us beautiful, fresh oysters.
We will look at them in two flights of three. With each flight you will be given six oysters to taste with your drinks.
Flight one will feature:
La Sirene Saison NV (Beer)
Sake (TBC shortly)
Navazos 375ml I Think Saca de July de 2015 Manzanilla San Luca de Barameda NV (Dry Sherry)
Flight two is made up of:
Pazos De Lusco Zios 2014 (Textural white wine)
Chateau de Pizay Beaujolais 2014 (Tart red wine)
Bouscasse Pacherenc 500ml Les Larmes Celestes Pacherenc 2013 (Sweet wine)
This all came about when I was sitting down with a wine rep tasting a range of gorgeous French wines. I was silently wishing I had some oysters to pair them with. Duly motivated, I decided to treat my future self to some oysters to match the wines I was tasting. You can be the beneficiary of my self indulgent gluttony!
Please note: This is a structured sit down tasting. Arrive 2pm to start at 2.15pm to taste, compare and contrast (and eat oysters).
Limited to 20 people sitting down with oysters. If you have an aversion or allergy email me to discuss how you can take part.
I look forward to seeing you there.
Phil

What to Expect at this tasting.
6 alcoholic beverages that are a marriage made in heaven with oysters. To prove it, we’ll match them with 12 oysters.
I have two goals for these events. 1. To share lovely wine with you. 2. To educate you on the wine world and demystify it.
The environment is casual and friendly. There is no need to know anything about wine and you are welcome, nay, encouraged to ask as many questions as pop into your head.
You can purchase the wines you enjoy at a great price on the day of the tasting to enjoy at your leisure.
Limited to 20 places.
Only $40 per head.
