Marrying into 5 hectare of pristine Cornas vineyards, Auguste Clape built a stunning legacy making traditional Cornas. 100% stems, wild yeasts, concrete fermenters and large, old oak barrels for aging. These wines are some of the truest terroir wines in the world.

The wines of friends is the entry point to this wine icons wonderful expression of Syrah. It has density, a touch of animal, and lots of dark, brooding characters. It tastes of the earth but there is so much more. The palate is full of character, elegant and taut. This drinks well now but I’ve seen older examples that just seem timeless. Wonderful wine.
