Bold flavours, lemon pulp, toasty oak, brown spice mixed with honey. Powerful up front and long finishing, there is no doubting its Semillion with the streak of acid. The vineyard here was established in 1993 to the classic French varieties including Cabernet, Syrah, Grenache, Semillon and Viognier. They make quite a bit of wine from the land they have and local growers and have earnt the reputation as the number one producer in South Africa.
Franschhoek – A well regarded region 85km from Cape Town. There has been vine cultivated here for over 350 years. A wide range of styles and varieties are produced with an emphasis on red wines.
Semillon – A somewhat shy variety that is most famous for balancing Sauvignon Blancs overt tendencies in table wines and sauternes styles. It found a home in the Hunter where the early picked wines can live for 50 years.
