Body – A tactile sensation on the palate. Is it thin like water or thick like olive oil?
Blanc de Blancs –
White of Whites. A wine or especially a Champagne that is made from only using white grapes.
Blanc de Noirs  –
Apart from a few exceptions a red wine gets its colour from the skins. Therefore it is possible to make white wines from red grapes which is how you get white (Blanc) Champagne of (de) black (Noir) grapes.
Length – How long does the flavour hang around for in your mouth? For great wines with lovely flavour you want that to be a long time indeed.
Rosé –
Meaning pink in French. It is a wine made with red grapes given less skin contact than a red wine. They can vary skin contact to give more colour from onion skin through to pink (Rosé) or even crimson almost purple. Rosé can also be achieved by adding a dash of red wine to a white wine which is often done in Champagne.
Terroir – A French term that covers the holistic look at where a vineyard is grown and what influences its resulting wines flavour.
