Description
For 35 years the Brewer family have been growing wine grapes in the Riverina town of Yenda. In 1998 the first wine by the family was produced. The Yarran range has grown and evolved over the years. The goal is to always make  the best wine from the vineyards and fruit they have.
Classic Aussie Merlot. Plums and cherries, oak, spice, a fleshy palate, soft and ready to drink now. It is perfectly amiable and would be welcome with BBQ prawns. Drink over the new few years.
Riverina
The largest wine producing region in NSW and Australia’s second largest. The flat lands near Griffith in SW NSW has a viticultural history back to 1912. It is a warm, dry land with an arguably plentiful water supply. For the most part production is ‘easy going’ bulk wine. But the strong Italian heritage of the area means there are pockets of great food and great wine. Botrytis wines can be some of the best in Australia.
Merlot
It gets a tough time most of the places it is grown. But in Pomerol and Saint-Emilion Merlot not only dominates but makes some of the best wines in the world. Perfume, silky and plush. Cabernets Franc and Sauvignon season the wines with structure and acid but in some places, like Petrus they are almost not needed.
