Description
Muré wines are fine and rich with beautifully mineral acidities. This is achieved in the vineyard where Alsace’s naturally long ripening season is enhanced by Muré’s exceptional south-facing slopes.
Gewurz gets a bit of a hard time. Being naturally low in acid it gets lumped in the too sweet for dry wine and too dry for sweet wine categories. What do you do with it? Drink it! Especially examples like this. Typical, pepper and spice, lychee, rose water and floral notes are balanced by a mandarin like citrus line and a chalky/river pebble like note underneath. With the extra time in bottle this wine has developed some savoury undertones which are very appealing.
