Description
Classy producer from Sicily that sources Nero d’Avola from two old vineyards.
Lots of game, dark fruits and earthy notes along with firm tannins but still with a brisk acidity that makes this wine quick fresh.
Nero d’Avola – Sicily’s best red grape. It is capable of getting very ripe, is very charming but lacks acidity. It is often blended with other varieties to balance out its exuberance.
Sicily – In a constant tussle with Puglia to win the title of largest volume produced each year, the wines of Sicily are as varied as its history. Delicate whites, full bodied reds and of course Marsala show the variation in climate and abilities of the various regions within the Island.
