Description

La Sirene is a loving tribute to the Farmhouse styles of beer from Southern Belgium. These are complex beers for wine lovers. This brewery is independent and family owned. Working out of their Urban Farmhouse Brewery next to the Darebin Creek. They make use of the naturally soft water and indigenous yeast to style their beers. The focus is on the saison styles with a few well-crafted supporting acts.

100% Bottle Conditioned, unfiltered, unpasteurised. A deep golden orange with a fluffy white head. Aromas of wild fruits, florals, sweet malt, and spice. Complex rustic flavours of spice and a little funk  (courtesy of the yeast) combine deliciously to finally deliver a dry crisp finish.

Saison

Originally Pale ale styles that were lower in alcohol made for workers in the summer time. In modern times it has evolved to being higher in alcohol, cloudy and complex beers. The buzzword is ‘farmhouse’ meaning handmade.
