Description
A classic producer and negociant family that makes some of the best wines of the Rhone from North to South. The Guigal family made their fame on the back of the much sought-after single vineyard Cote Rotie wines. Their access to great fruit from the best appellations and vineyards means their range is formidable and even their humble Cotes du Rhone is magnificent.
Syrah dominant, spicy, savoury, mid-weight well balanced and easy drinking. Don’t be fooled though, this wine can improve with bottle age for the short to mid-term. Its cheap enough to tuck six or 12 away each year so you can have a ready supply of five year old Cotes du Rhone available. With some patience of course.
