Cleaning a Decanter

Could you use water? Yes. But you need something to be able to wipe into the corners and remove the stubborn sediment and wine.

Should you use detergent? Nothing too harsh, but clean hot water a bit of detergent and a brush is magic.

If there is a stain… Hot water and raw rice should remove it. Probably. What about those decanter cleaning beads? They are good, but rice is cheaper and seemingly gives the same results. And you don’t have to worry if some rice goes down the sink. But don’t be that person! Don’t let it get to that state. Just use this brush with water once you finish with the decanter. If you are too drunk to clean it on the night, please just put enough water in to cover the base of your decanter. You can clean it the next day.
