Description
Allegrini is one of the finest producers in the Valpolicella region located in Veneto, Italy. The region is most famous for the “turn it to 11” Amarone – where sun dried grapes make a tannic, acidic, alcoholic monster of a wine. Valpol is the younger brother of Amarone and is far more easy going being quite juicy and fleshy. The best Valpol are very forgiving and can be paired with many food types.
The varieties used to make Valpolicella Varieties are predominantly Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara. Generally they are quite bland on their own, together they make beautiful wines.
This Valpol is amiable, fleshy and forgiving. The pure, vibrant, soft fruits are perfectly balanced by the clean acidity and lovely perfumed finish. Delicious drinking.
