Help Me Support The Heart Foundation.

Over the two and half year history of The Wine Depository I have been proud to use my business and personal connections to help give back to people in need. Locals to Heidelberg might have seen my beaming face a few weeks ago in The Leader (on page 3). This year I hope you will join me for a dinner to help raise money for the Heart Foundation.

In 2011 TWD took part in the Wine Rules Charity touch football tournament for St Mary’s House of Welcome. And in 2012 and this year I have raised money for The Heart Foundation through my running. I took up running because Heart Disease is an illness very close to my, well, heart as I have lost too many family members to it and myself suffer from hereditary high cholesterol. I have decided to step up and run the 14km distance at the City2Sea on 17^th November. It is well out of my comfort zone but I hope that me taking on this challenge will inspire you to help out.

On Friday 22^nd November I will be hosting a Help Me Drink My Cellar Dinner at Scopri. I will be opening up a range of exciting wines from my personal cellar for us to enjoy. There will be 12 wines from all over the world that closely reflect my personal tastes and also this is a great way to see why having a cellar is  a wonderful and rewarding experience. Scopri are putting on a four course casual shared menu and there will be no order forms. All the proceeds apart from the food costs will go to The Heart Foundation. The cost is $160 per head and there is a limit of 11 places. A sample of the line up is below, subject to numbers and the wines not having been regrettably drunk.
