Description
While working at Torbreck Kym Teusner took exception to the idea of a family vineyard in the Barossa being ripped out due to low fruit prices. He managed to raise enough cash to keep the vines in the ground and gradually found a few other old blocks that he could use to make wines of elegance and concentration. The wines were well received and now the Teusner label spans multiple regions and styles. The key always being quality and complexity.
From the Adelaide Hills and very Chardonnay like in flavour: peaches, stone fruits, green apple and floral. There is a nice bit of weight from the Pinot Noir which adds a bit of meat to the lean Chardonnay bones. This is well balanced and refreshing.
