Description

Dark, jubes, earthy, slightly herbaceous and incredibly silky. It is ready to drink now and needs some roast lamb.

Founded in 1953 by Felix Huarte. It has 210 hectares of vine, distributed  across the 5 sub-regions. Whites, reds and rosato are all produced here with quality being the number one goal.

Navarra DO – Reds and rosato dominate here, although white is growing in popularity. Dating back to 2nd Century BC there is a lot of winemaking history here. The region is not nearly as famous as Rioja or Ribera del Duero and is more notable for value than sheer quality.

Graciano – Used almost entirely as a blending grape around Rioja. It can add acidity to balance the naturally low acid Tempranillo. It also adds deep colour and dark fruits. While it was historically important to help a blend age well it fall out of favour for it’s low yields.
