Description
How two jaded music industrians started making small batch wines from some of the most distinguished sites in Victoria is probably still a mystery to them. The quality of the wines proves their calling was definitely in the vineyard and winery rather than studio. Three wines have been released to date and they all possess a rare and infectious charm.
Dave and Nathan have achieved a balance in this wine that might make you miss its quality at first look. With time and effort there is a lot of complexity under the initial layer of primary fruit. Did I mention how well balanced this wine is? The palate just sings.
Chardonnay – The grape that you can plant anywhere, in any climate and do anything to and it will still taste like an OK wine. When people hit the sweet spot of site, climate, cropping and winemaking, Chardonnay becomes a magical wine that will age gracefully but charm you at any age. Chardonnays can range from cool climate lean and citrusy to warmer climate tropical and overt. Oak and lees can add flavouring as can malolactic fermentation.
