How two jaded music industrians started making small batch wines from some of the most distinguished sites in Victoria is probably still a mystery to them. The quality of the wines proves their calling was definitely in the vineyard and winery rather than studio. Three wines have been released to date and they all possess a rare and infectious charm.
A lot of thought has gone into the production of this wine. But it all started with top quality grapes and the confidence of the winemakers to leave the juice along and let it do its thing. Textural, layered, nuanced and long. There is a lot to love about this wine. It shows that great Sauvignon Blanc can be made in Australia.
Sauvignon Blanc – Hero to many, weed to many more. Sauvignon Blanc sure does divide people. The pure expression of Sauvignon fruit is a stunning and exuberant array of tropical fruits with ripe herbs and plant material. It excels in the chalk, clay and sand of the Loire as well as the wonderful vineyards in Bordeaux for dry white and Sauternes production where Semillon curbs its outgoing nature.
