Description
The Pasqua family are responsible for Montevento (Mountain Wind) and many more great wines. Montevento is an excellent Pinot Grigio from limestone soil. The site has long daylight hours and cold alpine breezes (hence the name). Make no mistake, the price might be low, but the quality is outstanding. Citrus, doughy, fresh. The highlight is silky texture, and long, clean finish.
Delle Venezie
A catch-all region that takes in Veneto, Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Trentino. It always cross-regional blends which can be a single variety or a mixture. It allows for whites and sparkling wine
Pinot Gris/Grigio
Gris and Grigio are the same variety and both names mean grey in French and Italian respectively. Which is somewhat deceptive because the grapes can be almost blue when ripe. The great wines of Alsace and North-Eastern Italy often feature Pinot Grigio. It grows all over the world now too. AKA Grauburgunder in Germany.
