Description

Wine has been produced on the Conte Loredan Gasparini estate since the 1300s. Originally the focus was on the Bordeaux varieties and they have won much acclaim for their Capo di Stato red. The whites here are also noteworthy, but my favourite is the Loredan Gasparini DOCG Prosecco Superiore.

From the Colli Asolani region and made with old clones of Glera, this is a Prosecco with depth and intensity of character. It is mineral and a hint savoury to complement the floral and grapey notes that make Prosecco special. As a result, you can pair it with canapes, shellfish or just good company.

Prosecco

Is the name of the famous Sparkling wine region in Northern Italy. By using the cheaper charmat method to make the wines and in recent times pushing up the quality, the Italians have cornered the ‘poor person’s Champagne’ market. Look out of the variety to change name to Glera in the next few years.
