Description

At it’s peak now, this is delicate, dry leaves, forest floor, sour cherries and stems. There is no need to age any longer, just enjoy it with some mild soft cheese.
This has been sourced from a great cellar and I have every reason to believe it will be in amazing condition (like the others I enjoyed were).

Pioneer of a region and still one of the great producers of Australia. The Chardonnay here transcends fads to be a world class example of how great the grape variety can be. Shiraz and Cabernet are outstanding too. All the wines are built to last and well worth the attention of any wine lover.

Beechworth – Built on the fame and drive of Giaconda, the region of Beechworth has a lot to offer wine lovers. With a good diversity of styles from rich Chardonnay to Pinot Noir as well as Shiraz and Cabernet all doing well it is a must visit place.

Pinot Noir – This is the most elusive grape. It is relatively early ripening and extremely sensitive to terroir. Its perfect place on earth is the Cote d’Or in Burgundy. So haunting are great red Burgundy’s charms that growers everywhere try to emulate them. Pinot Noir is not just a one trick pony, it can make great reds, rosé, sparkling and even sweet wines, whites on occasion and I’ve tasted a decent fortified Pinot Noir too.
