Description

Planted in 1974 and still family owned. These guys were pioneers of the industry in Oregon and have gone on to be quality leaders of Willamette Valley Pinot Gris and Noir.

“Pale lemon tempts with high aromatics – pineapple and grilled plantain meander into notes of yellow peach, fresh ginger and honeydew. A melon soft texture unfolds with Meyer lemon and peach preserve hinting at undertones of ginger spice, hibiscus and rhubarb.” Winemaker Notes.
I enjoy the freshness and perfume of this wine. It matches with a wide array of foods but I’d lean to something weighty like pork or a creamy cheese.

Willamette Valley

The most famous of the Oregon wine country and for good reason: This is possibly the best place in the USA for Pinot Noir. The wines retain an elegance and class due to the cool climate and moist conditions.

Pinot Gris/Grigio

Gris and Grigio are in fact the same variety and both names mean grey in French and Italian respectively. Which is somewhat deceptive because the grapes can be almost blue when ripe. The great wines of Alsace and North Eastern Italy are often made from this variety. It is being widely adopted around the world too. AKA Grauburgunder.
