Description

Flor de Brezo, the Flower of Brezo, hails from two, slate-laden plots in the Bierzo mountains in North West Spain. Mencía is possibly a relative of Cabernet Franc and when grown at altitude the wines have plenty of elegance and refreshing
zippy structure, yet there are also layers of ripe, pulpy Mencia fruit. It throws an inky purple colour with bell-clear aromas and flavours of black cherry, juniper, anise and violets. The palate is juicy and smooth with a gratifying texture and an appetising bittersweet twist on the finish.

Biezro – Continental climate and high altitude vineyards combined with schist laden soils means these wines are elegant, fine and perfumed. Easily some of the best wines in Spain.

Mencia – Similar to Cabernet Franc makes stunning wines from Bierzo, Valdeorras and surrounding regions.
