Wonderfully Warming Winter Wines at Mezzo 26th July 2014

July 26, 2014 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

If you are already sold and want to book tickets straight away, simply scroll to the bottom of this page.

It’s COLD!

Really cold as I am writing this, but you don’t have to despair. Why? Because TWD and Mezzo have got you covered.

Escape the cold
For one afternoon you can enjoy the brilliant wines that make winter worthwhile. You may be thinking rich and bold Shiraz, juicy Merlot or even succulent Cabernet. But I am thinking savoury Sangiovese, brooding Malbec and textural Tempranillo.

Why Those Varieties?
Well these are three varieties that will help you enjoy the breadth and depth of tasty winter comfort food you have at your disposal. No more cliche steak and Shiraz (well, maybe not as often because I do love steak… and Shiraz). It’s time for you to use these three balanced, textural and savoury varieties to cut, complement and contrast your way through stews, braises and much more.

What do you get?
For the investment of $10 per head you will taste some of the best examples of Australian Sangio, Temp and Malbec as well as some appropriate and tasty international examples to set the scene and put it all into context.
You will get to talk all things wine with a handful of friendly and knowledgeable producers, importers and of course me.
And Mezzo will be putting on some winter appropriate food to tie it all together in your head.
Note: For those that came to the last tasting at Mezzo, there will be less wine on hand so it will be a more manageable affair for everyone.

How Do I Book?
You can scan to the bottom of this page and purchase your tickets, return this email (or click here) or you can call me on 0418 23 04 82 and have a chat about your winter wine indulgences.

How are you going to cope with winter? With friends, wine and food sounds like the best plan!
