To help get you through the last month of winter, Shaun from Piqueos and I are going to pop the corks and screw the caps on a few of the great winter wines we’ve been tasting recently.
The range will include Spain, Italy, Argentina and Uruguay. Mostly reds with a couple of whites because, well because you don’t have to serve your whites at 1 degree C and in fact, some look positively tasty at cellar temperature.
The line up will look something like this:
Zorzettig
Friuli Colli Orinetali DOC
Friulano
2014
Bodega Aramisque
Uco Valley
Serbal Chardonnay
2012
Rioja Vega

Crianza
2012
Arduini Luciano
Valpolicella Classico DOC
2014

Mendoza
Corte C Malbec Cabernet
2014

What to Expect at this tasting.
8 quality wines that are winter appropriate. Shaun and IÂ will be there to show you through the range and answer your questions.
Piqueos are going above and beyond to put on some lovely food to enjoy while we taste.
I have two goals for these events. 1. To share lovely wine with you. 2. To educate you on the wine world and demystify it.
The environment is casual and friendly. Â There is no need to know anything about wine and you are welcome, nay, encouraged to ask as many questions as pop into your head.
You can purchase the wines you enjoy at a great price on the day of the tasting to enjoy at your leisure.
